Diamonds In The Mist

An unexpected catch. (Click picture for larger view) Posted by Picasa
"Every dew-drop and rain-drop had a whole heaven within it." ~ Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
The air was thick with humidity and the rains came; heavy at times or a drizzle or mist. When, finally, the sun broke through the clouds I found these in the boxwoods. Scattered clouds of silken webs captured small droplets of dew, of rain; and in each one the colors of the rainbow, sparkling like a thousand diamonds. Probably not what the spider intended.
