The Mississippi Snow

Energetic Mississippi girls and a rare winter snow. (Click picture for larger view) Posted by Picasa
"The world belongs to the energetic" ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson (American Poet, Lecturer and Essayist, 1803-1882)
The ONLY snow storm of any significance in fifteen years in Mississippi occurred on a Saturday and much to the children's chagrin; no school days were lost as it had melted by Monday. About four inches of wet, fluffy white snow fell, giving rise to snowmen (and snow ladies) and snowball fights. No, the strange evil looking face on Nyssa was not natural, although she is holding that snowball suspiciously and looking right at the photographer. (This is another story.) Hey! I better move!

Submission for Moody Monday topic "energetic". (end of post)
