"People are like stained-glass windows. They sparkle and shine when the sun is out, but when the darkness sets in, their true beauty is revealed only if there is a light from within."
~ Elisabeth Kubler-Ross
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is home to several gorgeous and amazing works in stained glass, glass mosaics and art glass. All were wonderful but this was my favorite; perhaps it is the smooth calm of the water or the rocky shore beyond the lake, but more than likely it is the winding vines of wisteria. See how the flower clusters drape across the broad black leading that separates the window into sections; as if they were the wooden arbors covering a patio? Yes, wisteria is one of my favorite flowers; delicate, regal and gone all too soon.

Submission for Thursday Challenge topic "glass". (end of post)
