The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life.
-William Faulkner
Free concerts are held at the 24th Street beach entrance each week. People bring folding chairs, blankets, picnic baskets and sit listening to a variety of music, from classical to rock, country to musical comedy. This evening the fare was a concert band playing music of the sea, ragtime and good old fashion marching band songs, Sousa style. This young fellow couldn't sit still. He felt that marching music and wanted to stand and march with it. Mother wanted him to stay put so he did the next best thing, he rocked back and forth in time with the band and furiously waved his flag. He was having fun, really having fun, and there was no TV in site! He was in the movie of life, with his parents and with the band.

Submission for PXITE topic "movie". (end of post)
