Something Beautiful

Echinacea purpurea Eastern purple coneflower Posted by Picasa
Never lose an opportunity of seeing anything that is beautiful; for beauty is God's handwriting -- a wayside sacrament. Welcome it in every fair face, in every fair sky, in every fair flower, and thank God for it as a cup of blessing. ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
This afternoon I had the overwhelming desire, no need, to post something beautiful. I looked at recent photos and found these; coneflowers, growing in a neighbor's yard. Just lovely.

Also, the author of Garden For Sale, has her new blog up and running. She and her husband moved from California to Sewanee, Tennessee this summer. They have several acres of land on the mountain to develop and she is hard at work to that end. She already has posted several breathtaking pictures; my personal favorite is one showing wild orchids in a yummy apricot sherbet color. Visit her at Red Oak Hollow and her little dog at Daisy Mae Tales.
