Finding a bluebird again. Williamsburg.
The White Cliffs of DoverI had not seen a bluebird since leaving Mississippi until a recent journey up to Williamsburg. The little College Park has strategically placed bluebird houses and this beautiful creature was busy preparing his nest with his female companion. In this area they must be studying the habitats and patterns of the bluebird, for both this fellow and his less colorful mate had leg bandings in place. So now, my mother is vindicated in her purchase of that well constructed bluebird nesting house.... I guess we no longer have an excuse to get it put up. They are gorgeous birds!
There'll be bluebirds over the white cliffs of Dover,
Tomorrow, just you wait and see.
