"Fairytale" pumpkin. (Click picture for larger image) Posted by Picasa
"Every man's life is a fairy tale written by God's fingers" ~ Hans Christian Andersen (Danish Author of Fairy Tales, 1805-1875)
"If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales. When I examine myself and my methods of thought, I come to the conclusion that the gift of fantasy has meant more to me than any talent for abstract, positive thinking." ~ Albert Einstein (1879-1955)
Fairytale orange pumpkin, good for yummy Christmas pies (lots of yummy Christmas pies), pumpkin soup; but it is the favorite pumpkin used by fairy godmothers in making magic sparkling coaches to take the princess to the ball. My practical side sees 10 pounds of pumpkin meat from one 18 pound "Fairytale". This translates into at least nine or ten pies. Yet sitting there, the child in me still sees the white rounded coach with the beautiful Cinderella stepping out into the arms of her Prince Charming.

Cue to music as this writer whirls around the kitchen with her orange-stained fingers to the tune in her head..... "Fairytales do come true, it can happen to you, if you're young at heart"...... "Sigh" Fade to misty orange....then black.

Submission to Thursday Challenge topic "orange". (end of post)
