Spring Storm Season

It's that time of year again. (Click picture for larger view) Posted by Picasa
"Mirth is like a flash of lightning, that breaks through a gloom of clouds, and glitters for a moment; cheerfulness keeps up a kind of daylight in the mind, and fills it with a steady and perpetual serenity." ~ Joseph Addison (1672-1719), British essayist.
The horrible storms that tore through the Midwest and South made their way here tonight. The most severe hit just around 9:45 PM with massive cloud to cloud and cloud to ground lightening. I sat on the front porch and clicked off 50 pictures just at random as my trigger finger is not "as fast as lightning."; this one is the only one to capture the light show.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to those who lost loved ones and their homes in Tennessee, Illinois and elsewhere. Janie (poopie) checked in earlier to let us know she is OK. (Big sigh of relief) I'm sure her hospital is overwhelmed with storm victims and the ever faithful and caring Janie will be right there taking care of them.

The power of Nature, so beautiful and yet so deadly. (end of post)
