The Art of Dining

"Dining is and always was a great artistic opportunity." ~ Frank Lloyd Wright
Fruit, vegetables and meat always looked better to Nyssa served on her Mickey Mouse plate; with added ketchup of course. Yes, she went through the ketchup phase as all kids do. Hers did not last as long or delve as deep into the "what else can we eat with ketchup on it" as some such phases go. There was no ketchup on cottage cheese or on peanut butter sandwiches. Surprisingly, there was no ketchup in spaghetti or in chili either. I was just glad she wasn't a picky eater like others in her father's family. OK so she was almost twelve years old before she consented to try a steak, but she's eaten salads since she was three. Now? She loves fajitas, except without the onion, peppers, tomatoes, sour cream and guacamole; she just wants the meat, tortilla and cheese. Go figure.
