You can't see the forest for the trees. (Click for larger view)
"Sometimes in our confusion, we see not the world as it is, but the world though eyes blurred by the mind." ~ UnknownRiding along down General Booth Boulevard the oceanfront with hotels, beaches and inlets, suddenly gives way to three or four blocks of dense forest. Oak, pine, maple and dogwood fight for dominance and thick underbrush prevents passersby from visualizing the houses or marinas on the other side. It was a hot day and the trees and brush had that shady, cool look of a damp wilderness; here right in the middle of the bustling beach. I tried to snap the picture, but the car was moving too fast and it blurred. Still, it had that damp, cool feeling along with the fascinating look of an abstract painting. I like it.
