Travel the World

Passport stamp from Linz,Austria (Click picture for larger view) Posted by Picasa
"Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful, we must carry it with us or we find it not." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson (1803-1882)
A macro shot of the passport stamp from our trip to Linz, Austria. It was beautiful there. We took side trips to Salzburg and Vienna. Of course all our pictures are in storage now, so what's new. Linz is an old provincial Austrian town; home of the famous Linzer Torte, considered the oldest cake in the world. (According to the Linz Tourism site) The most unusual; note I did not say emotional, or thought provoking or beautiful, but unusual thing I experienced was a Chinese Restaurant in Linz, Austria with Chinese owners who spoke German with an Austrian accent. So many beautiful gardens, castles, museums, historical sites and countryside to see and not enough time in two weeks to do it. Someday I want to go back.

Submission for MacroDay topic "travel". (end of post)
