Flashing Sign: Danger

There is a drawbridge in Chesapeake on the way to the dentist. Apparently it is raised to let the tall masted boats through every hour on the hour. I have stopped here three times this month. Four sets of stop lights turn red, four railroad crossing safety gates with flashing lights come down and two sets of these overhead warning signals light up with the 'DRAW OPEN" flashing brightly. It is a marvel to see the roadway slowly move upward until it is almost at right angles to its starting position. This is still exciting for someone who has not often been stuck in the traffic jam it produces. Posted by Hello
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.
