"Who in the rainbow can draw the line where the violet tint ends and the orange tint begins? Distinctly we see the difference of the colors, but where exactly does the one first blending enter into the other? So with sanity and insanity."
~ Herman Melville (American short-story Writer, Novelist and Poet. Best known for his novels of the sea, including his masterpiece, Moby Dick. 1819-1891)
I am not much of a gardener so someone will have to help me with the name of this flowering bush. It was blooming in late May this year although we had a cooler spring than usual. I loved the variegated violet and cream colored blooms that had a more firm body and texture than the hydrangea also blooming at this time.

Submission for Photo Friday topic "violet".
