Violin bow section. (Macro shot) (Click picture for larger view)
SIMPLE GIFTSThe melody of this song played on the violin, a simple but haunting tune that never fails to stir my heart. The segment of a violin bow, its straight and elegant line is interrupted only by the frayed evidence of wear. This simple bow was used long and used well to make beautiful music.
'Tis the gift to be simple,
'tis the gift to be free.
'Tis the gift to come down
where we ought to be.
And when we find ourselves
in the place just right,
'Twill be in the valley
of love and delight.
When true simplicity is gained,
To bow and to bend
we shall not be ashamed.
To turn, turn
will be our delight,
'Till by turning, turning
we come round right.
