A Teddy Bear Christmas

December 1987: Teddy's 2nd Christmas (Click picture for larger view) Posted by Picasa
"To a child, Teddy is a bridge between a human and an animal. He doesn't mind being dressed in ridiculous hats, or even being read to. You can blame him for anything, and he won't deny it. His marvelous face expresses anything a child wants to feel or hear." ~ Peter Bull
Look at Teddy so warm and tan. He still had good eyesight then, could tell when Nyssa came in the room and see the sparkling lights on the tree. His music box was still good. He is almost two years old here, just like Nyssa. Now, he's a bit ragged and his eyes are cloudy even though he has had two cataract surgeries with clear nail polish. His arm has been repaired, his stuffing a bit matted from several washings. He hates to be washed but endures the Maytag so he will look his best for his girl. The music box is long gone and his fur a bit nappy, but his smile is still there. Even though he is still with Margaret, his heart belongs to Nyssa and he longs to be back in her arms. Maybe this Christmas?
