White

White waterlily. Brooklyn Botanical Garden. Posted by Picasa
"Working in white makes people look into it. White is ethereal. There's a purity to it, it makes things look elevated in a way. There's a whole palette of white..." ~ Jonathan Milne
Everyone knows I love waterlilies and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens have the largest collection I've seen in one place; all sizes and variations in color with brilliant pinks and purples, yellows and peach, and the pure, simple, saturated white. Please don't make me choose a favorite! I love them all. White flowers are said to signify unity and we certainly need more of that in this world. Where do white flowers fit in your scheme of things? Remember... when you hear this question....
"Where does the white go when the snow melts?" ~ Unknown
.... the answer might just be.... "it's in the waterlily."

Look, PXITE is back with the topic "white". (end of post)
