Anxious Nicky (Click picture for larger view(
Childhood has no forebodings; but then, it is soothed by no memories of outlived sorrow. ~ George Eliot (pseudonym of Mary Ann Evans Cross)Nicky is anxiety personified. He is timid and intimidated by everything. He shrinks from confrontation, slinks slowly and quietly from place to place and hides from the world under the sheets or in the back of a closet. As he has been this way from kittenhood, I can only assume he went through some early trauma, perhaps too many siblings or a difficult birth.
Here his obvious anxiety, the night shadows in the sunroom and the shining glow from the library window come together to interpret Photo Tuesday's topic "foreboding".
Be sure to visit Nicky and his other animal friends at Friday's Ark and stop by Carnival of the Cats on Sunday, this week hosted by Watermark.
