No Longer Wondering

The Atlantic Ocean (Click picture for larger image) Posted by Picasa
"Men go abroad to wonder at the heights of mountains, at the huge waves of the sea, at the long courses of the rivers, at the vast compass of the ocean, at the circular motions of the stars, and they pass by themselves without wondering." ~ Saint Augustine
The vast expanse of the Atlantic Ocean where it meets the sky and the shoreline. Waves wash the shore, ever changing and shaping the land. It is hard to imagine this fluid water, how heavy and forceful the massive waves can become; how great its potential for destruction. After Katrina, we no longer wonder, we have seen with our own eyes.

Submission for Photo Friday topic "massive". (end of post)
