Shades of Gray

Foggy bottoms & bare trees. Posted by Picasa
"Life is like a good black and white photograph, there's black, there's white, and lots of shades in between." ~ Karl Heiner (Photographer)
A misty fog, bare winter trees and an early morning light makes for magic. I see trees coming to life, reaching down and grabbing the unsuspecting passerby. Or what's that? That speck of light in the fog, a unicorn? Are we on another world or in an ancient medieval novel with fire-breathing dragons, elves and trolls? The black and white and shades of gray in between may suggest mystery; Humphrey Bogart walking away into the mist with his turned up trench coat collar and fedora lowered over one eye. What magic does this conjure up for you?
