Dying boxwood, weakened by disease. (Click picture for larger view)

"The greatest weakness of all is the great fear of appearing weak." ~ BossuetThis group of boxwoods are on a side of the house not visible to the street. Last summer they were all green and healthy looking, home to beneficial spiders and lizards. I don't know when the changes took hold, but now this one is almost dead, its branches weak and splitting and the leaves a yellow-brown color. This boxwood is now so weakened that it would be easy to pull its roots from the ground. Whatever has destroyed this bush is now moving on to another down the line.
