An old worn headstone in the Brutons Parish Church graveyard; its carved rose showing wear from the long years of wind, rain, snow and heat. A grave from the early 1700's, old by our standards but young compared to those in Europe. Someone's parent, child or spouse lies at rest beneath the carved stone rose, forever loved.
