Dandelion: A common weed commands attention.

"When you can do the common things of life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world." ~ Thomas CarlyleThere must be thousands of these common dandelions that spring up in our yard every summer. Some go on to mature and produce seedlings that float gently through the air with the slightest breeze; many end up as crushed bouquets in the hands of grubby little boys and as cherished moments for those such gifted mothers; and some are rudely clipped by rotating blades and left to die. Yet, each is different, individual with subtle shades of color, texture and fullness. Common things enrich our lives, if we let them.
