Fun In The Sun

"To myself I am only a child playing on the beach, while vast oceans of truth lie undiscovered before me." ~ Sir Isaac Newton (1642-1727)
Hot summer day, warm sun-baked sand, colorful umbrella for shade and cool breezes off of the ocean; what more could anyone ask for. A wonderful biology lab to find all shapes and sizes of shells as well as sea birds on land and dolphins swimming in the coastal waters. A botany lab with fragments of seaweed and driftwood washing to shore. A physics lab, the laws of motion demonstrated in the crash of each wave. A geology lab, each grain of sand and wave smoothed stone a story in itself. The world of science waiting for all to experience; the lessons remembered because for a child all is new and full of wonder. We should be as lucky as Sir Isaac, to keep that childlike attitude of adventure and discovery, for it is this that will change our lives.
