Summer rose, perfectly pink. (Click picture for larger view)
"The serene philosophy of the pink rose is steadying. Its fragrant, delicate petals open fully and are ready to fall, without regret or disillusion, after only a day in the sun. It is so every summer. One can almost hear their pink, fragrant murmur as they settle down upon the grass: Summer, summer, it will always be summer." ~ Rachel PedenThe air hangs hot and humid and spring daffodils and azalea have given way to hibiscus, begonias and roses. This pink rose peeks over the back fence, higher than my head. It is perfect, delicate, fragrant and it isn't mine, I can't pick it for our table. I can capture its beauty and keep it all summer long; in my photo it will never wilt or die, but remain always ...a perfect rose.
